Being An Internet Marketer Is Like Being A Baseball Player

Internet Marketer Like Being A Baseball Player

This will be a long post with some ramblings but things I think are important. One thing I do is read and study what internet marketers are doing. A LOT. I don’t watch the big time guru’s so much anymore. Not any at all really. I am watching some what I call up and comers.

I guess to use a baseball analogy they are in the minor leagues trying to get into the major leagues. Most are pretty close to being there. Some probably are already there they just don’t have their names plastered all over the internet.

I just returned from my annual trip to Florida for spring training last week. I mean baseball spring training. If you are not familiar with it, that is where Major League Baseball teams go to start their practice before the season starts. Some teams go to Florida and some teams go to Arizona.

Me and a buddy go down to Florida every year for a week and watch one game a day. We try to see different teams play each day if possible. If you love baseball it’s like being in paradise.

To be an all star baseball player you only have to hit .300. I say only. That means getting a hit only 3 out of every 10 times you come up to bat. In most things you would be considered a failure if you only batted .300. But hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports.

If you can hit .300 in  internet marketing you are a success. Most people spend 3 or 4 years trying to make it as an internet marketer, spend 1000s of dollars on training and never make much money if any. It’s a tough business. The guru’s tell you all you need is to buy their course to make it to the promised land.

They count on you buying course after course. That’s how they make their money. We buy their products. Most of the guru’s are friends and if you are on their list, they tell you each week that one of their buddies has a new course coming out that can help you. So if you have any money left you buy it hoping it’s the one that will solve your problems.

Most of the time the new course is just rehashed stuff. Every now and then I buy something that is new. I learn from it and try to apply it to my business. I probably bat about .200. Some things work for me and some things don’t.

You have to stick with one person until what he or she preaches works they say.

If this is true why do they try to get you to buy other people’s products? Everyone tells you to follow ONE GURU or method, do what he or she says and you will eventually make it.

Maybe, maybe not.

You know now that I think about it this goes against what they are telling you when they say follow me. Then next week you get an email saying buy Ben’s stuff.

Then two days later you get an email pushing another buddies course. Hmm. I’m just saying. Something ain’t right.

Now before I get the big guys all pissed off at me (not that I care) I do agree you would probably be better off following one method and sticking with it when you are starting out.

What’s The Problem?

The problem is all of us are different. What works for one person may not work for another. You have to find someone to follow that you connect with. Not as easy as it sounds. Some people are better teachers than others. Maybe you are just starting and need someone that is great at breaking down the basics where you can understand it.

Maybe you learn better from videos. Maybe you are a reader and don’t like watching to many videos.

To increase your batting average or chances at success you need to first understand how you prefer to learn. Then do you feel more comfortable learning from a female or a male. Or does it even matter? To some it does.

You might like someone that is loud, or you might prefer a soft spoken teacher.

So What Do You Do?

Most of us read a salespage we like and say this is the guy or watch a video and say yea I want his stuff. But I only have until midnight to get it.

How about this. Go a month or two weeks and study their blog and what they are doing. Listen to some videos.

Who relates to you best? Think about it, make a decision and go with that person.

Try them out. Nothing says you have to stick with this person forever. Maybe you hit a home run the first time.

So don’t make the mistake that so many people make and rush to buy this person’s stuff. It will be here next week. They ain’t going nowhere.

Confusion Is Everywhere

I think a major problem is that there are so many different ways to make money online that people get confused. I know I did.

Do you start out with an affiliate site? Adsense sites? How about an information product site? Do you sell Clickbank products, Commission Junction products or Amazon products? How about a site that drop ships? Ebay? You get what I mean.

Their are experts out there that are specialists in each one of these areas. I know because I bought their stuff over the years.

Most of the guru’s and experts out there that have different types of sites in their inventory. They may or may not not tell you that. They want to sell you their information but they most likely have several if not hundreds of sites.

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Through affiliate sites you can learn what works and what does not work…when it comes to driving traffic to the affiliate sites for instance.

I actually started this article to talk about something I am working on that I started at the beginning of the year .

I decided I was going to have one niche affiliate site built each week. January was tough month for me because of my military job. I only had about a week to get anything done. I was working 16 hour days for about 3 weeks.

I hired a girl in the Philippines that is excellent at building niche affiliate sites for me. I come up with  niches. She does the keyword research. Then I decide the exact product or products I want sell and she puts it together for me. I am paying her to work 40 hours a month. It’s working out well so far.

I may hire her full time in a few months if it continues to work

We are a little behind because of January but she is on the 5th site now. As of now I am doing all the marketing. I have a marketing plan I am working that is basically has 6 parts to it after the site is built.

The marketing plan is something I put together from several different sources. The main resources I use are Fiverr, Submit Your Article.com and One Hour Backlinks.

Fiverr has changed my life. When you are short on time and money it’s a life saver.

I had one niche site get 500 unique visitors in one day last week. The site had only been up about 2-3 weeks. I am trying to figure out what I did to get that spike in traffic for that one day. It didn’t last by the way. When I get another site or two up I will start doing a weekly up date on how the sites are doing.  How the sites moved in google. Sales from products. Adsense sales, etc.

Some sites have adsense and some will not. Some have Clickbank products and some Amazon. One is being built now based on an e-book I wrote a few years ago. Most of the sites are just 3-4 pages max. One niche product or type of product for each site.

I am trying to keep it as simple as possible. I have a few other bigger affiliate sites but I have never tried small niche affiliate sites. We will see how it goes.

There is a method to my madness. I have a plan. A big plan. It goes against what most guru’s teach.

Big Question?

Am I spreading myself to thin. They would say so. Sometimes I wonder how can I get all this done while working a full time job that sometimes requires terrible hours.

I don’t worry about it anymore. I just do what I can do today. Then move on to the next day.

Like I said earlier. Without Fiverr and outsourcing this would not be possible without spending several thousand dollars a month. I am currently spending less than $500 a month now. I spend $30 on each website with Fiverr the first week after they are built.

Submit Your Article.com is a monthly fee and the One Hour Backlinks is a small fee each time you use it. I am experimenting with it. Other people tell me they have had success using them.

If you have no money to spend you can still get rankings and traffic it will just take you a lot longer. But there is no such thing as free traffic. Drives me crazy when people say this. It takes a lot of hours to get “free traffic”, that’s a cost to you. Your time.

Turns your business into a job.

So a couple of things in conclusion. In another week or two I will let you know how my niche affiliate sites are doing. Will probably be to early for much in the way of results but we will see.

Just so you know I also have this site and a sports website that I work on in some way every day. Some of it is offsite social stuff for these two sites.

In addition I am starting out very small in the Offline Consulting world.  I said small because their is so little time. Things I can do without actually having to go meet someone face to face is what I am focusing on for now..

I am preparing for when I retire from military service in a year or two. I have said in some other posts that I believe offline consulting will continue to grow and their is no better training for it than growing your own websites and online business.

One last thing the people I promote on this site are quality people and marketers. Not just expert internet marketers. I may not agree with everything they say and do but they are not the guru’s I am referring to in this post.

These guys and gals have a lot of knowledge and they are willing to share a tremendous amount of it for free or at very little cost compared to what most guru’s cost you.

Comments below would be appreciated.

Thanks

Use Social Media Sites To Rocket Your SEO

social media sitesSearch engine optimization is necessary if you want to achieve  useful rankings that can impact your business in a positive way. It can take months or longer for your websites to gain a top spot on the first page of Google using the old fashioned way of trying to build links to your page. To speed up that process, you should take a look at how you can use social media to increase your visibility and move up in the rankings.

It’s no secret that search engine rankings are important to the success of your online business. Even though Google keeps changing the algorithms, one thing is certain– social media is here to stay and it can be very useful to you if used properly.

If you aren’t already using social media, you need to get started now. In the next few years the big boys of social media Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube will continue to grow and you need to be on that train. No matter your niche you will find prospects within your target audience on social media sites.

New sites are popping up all the time and I know people that are having a lot of success with Tumblr and other sites buy it can be very time consuming if you are on to many sites. I suggest you start with the big 3- Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. LinkedIn is great if you have a local offline business.

Google is now considering social media stats in their overall algorithm for website rankings.

Search is changing, and it’s moving toward “social proof” instead of “link proof”. The good news is that many of us are using social media already. You can use your knowledge and the keywords from your website to help you attract other social media members who are in your target market.

Using Social Media To Improve Your SEO Rankings

. Your Social Media Rank will be more important than your Google PageRank in the very near future.

. Join the social networks that are proven to give you the most bang for your buck – There are tons of social media sites but the ones most used are Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Establish personal (if you haven’t already) and business profiles on each of these sites. Within your profiles, incorporate the target keywords that you use on your site to attract visitors.

You will also get an all important link back to your website from the social media site.

. Utilize every area of these sites – Link updates on your website to posts that you make on these sites. Uploading a video to YouTube? Use keywords in the description and add a link to your site. “Like” pages that are similar to your niche market. Follow the market leaders in your niche on Twitter. See what they are doing.  I get a lot of traffic from Twitter and I don’t have a huge amount of followers.

Join in conversations as they are happening where you can. Don’t just make posts that are trying to make sales. Ask questions. Give out links to good articles on other sites. The key is to do very little self-promoting and you will start getting followers. You will probably find that you like one or two social media sites better than the others. I am finally starting to use video and YouTube.

. Join forums relevant to your target audience – This is an old one but a good one. For instance, when you sign up for community forums, become an active member. Two-word comments, or posting to promote your site, can be viewed as spamming. You will gain more traffic from other members and influence in the community if you genuinely participate.

In smaller niches forums can be hard to find. Go to Google put in your (keyword + forum) and forums in your niche should come up. Make sure you join forums that participants. It does you no good to join a forum that nobody is participating in.

. Follow other relevant blogs in your niche– Make comments, offer to guest blog for influential bloggers in your niche and offer useful information when you comment.

The more engaging that you are on social media sites, the more followers you will get from others who also visit the site. This will elevate your status and increase traffic to your website. Also, communicating with your target market here can offer valuable insight towards profitable changes you may need to make in your business.

I just finished reading a great book about how to use social media “The Thank You Economy” by Gary Vaynerchuk. This is not some book on theory but how he uses social media to grow his company as well as how other companies use social media. There is a lot of stuff in the book and it’s very easy reading.

4 Reasons Why I’m Promoting Your Competition and Not You

This article is by Nicole Dean. Nicole has some of the best PLR on the internet. You can visit her site at EASYPLR.

Today, I’m sitting at my computer, about to launch a new site and I’m going through Clickbank, looking for potential affiliate programs to promote.

Not only am I considering personally promoting the products that I find, but I may recommend that customers who purchase my PLR articles at EASY PLR promote them, too.

Time and time again, I’m shaking my head, wondering if these Internet Marketers realize how many potential affiliates they are losing, as I click the red “x” and go to the next product. And, of course, this isn’t only a problem with the products listed at places like Clickbank (and it certainly isn’t a reflection of the quality of Clickbank, itself).

Affiliate Programs everywhere are lacking in their professionalism and respect for their affiliates.

It’s pretty obvious that many people don’t realize what turns off a potential affiliate. Could it be, perhaps, that the people writing and marketing these ebooks have not been successful at Affiliate Marketing themselves?

After much frustration, I’ve decided to run through my list of reasons I did not choose your product to promote, and, instead chose your competition.

1. Your page is gaudy and unappealing.
Now, we all know the saying that ‘Ugly sites sell’. That’s absolutely true. A plain blue or white background with Arial text can make millions. However, a site that looks like a sparkly, flashy mess and gives your visitors a seizure is not cool. Leave the cursors alone. Don’t stick animation on there. And, for goodness sakes, stick with only one or two fonts, please.

2. Typos and spelling errors.
This one is actually kind of frightening. If the product you’re selling is an e-BOOK then please act like you know how to write. Have a friend or even an enemy read and reread your sales letter for you. If you don’t have any friends or enemies, then pay someone. Just don’t try to sell an e-book on a sales page that looks like a third grader wrote it. It’s not going to sell. At least I’m not going to sell it.

3. You offer sales options that I won’t get affiliate credit for on the sales page.
For instance, you list an electronic and a hard-cover version of your book through amazon. Tacky! Why should I send you traffic through Clickbank so that you can make a commission on amazon? Not a chance. Or even worse, you have both a Clickbank button and a paypal button.

And, my #1 biggest irritant –

4. You’ve got google ads or actually have the guts to sell advertising on your page. (And, no, I’m not joking here.) I don’t even need to go there. Anyone who’s a successful affiliate knows that this is the sign of death for any affiliate program.

So, there you have it. Four reasons why your competition is getting my business and you are not.

Are you ready to attract affiliates to promote your products? And, would you like to have an affiliate program that doesn’t stink?  Nicole Dean is on a mission to help you. Check out her program at Income CPR – where she’s helping Infoproduct sellers just like you to have more profits and more LIFE.

Review Of Nicheology

NicheologyI have been a member of Nicheology for about a year now and it’s one of my best resources. The site is owned by Paul Evans who I met at NAMS in February. He rocked the house with his keynote speech. I have heard him speak in person twice now and he could have been a comedian. He is entertaining  but at the same time he gives you something you can use in your business.

In this review of Nicheology I am going to break down the site and tell you what you get. There is both a free section and a paid membership section.

First off who is Nicheology for?

Here is the good part. If you are a newbie to internet marketing Nicheology this is a great place to start. Paul loves to keep stuff simple. He writes and speaks in a manner that is easy to understand. If you have been in internet marketing for awhile and have not been making much progress or want to move your site to a new level Paul will help you get there.

One thing I really like about Paul is that he tells you there is more than one way to do something. You need to find what works for you. I get really tired of the “gurus” that tell you there way is the only to success.

When you arrive at the homepage you will find lots of free articles and videos. You must get on his mailing list and get his 7 free reports- Six Steps To Six Figures. These 7 reports are worth hundreds of dollars by themselves and they are yours just for getting on his list.

Another thing don’t worry about getting tons of long emails from Paul. His emails are short and to the point. They are the kind you look forward to getting from him.

If you are a newbie or if you have been around awhile and are not making any progress you want to start with the New? Start Here section. Great videos about how to start an online business. Don’t skip this section.

Then move onto the CORE Training. There are 7 modules and they will get you moving in the right direction. You will learn business basics, how to find your niche and even build you own product. As I said earlier Paul believes in keeping things simple. He doesn’t think you need to wait around to build your own product and he tells you how to build that first product and get it off the ground fast.

One thing that I like that is a little different is the different types of memberships sites that you will learn about. Again Paul has a very simple and different method you can use to build a membership site. You don’t need a huge site with lots of information and tons of visitors. It’s amazing how simple it is to build a really simple membership site by following the videos Paul provides.

When you join the Nicheology Membership Site you will have access to many different areas. The Profit Academy is worth the price just by itself. He brings his 23 years of real life business experiences and expertise to these training sessions to help you grow your online business. After going through the Core Training then I would go through the material in the Profit Academy. There is so much here.

You need to be applying this stuff. Don’t just watch videos and read. You could spend a ton of time at Nicheology just watching and reading.

You know what I am saying. Watch and apply it.

Inside the Tech Academy in Nicheology are videos that explain things like Cpanel and FTP. FTP scared me to death for years. I am truly non-technical. Most internet “gurus” don’t understand this. They assume you know a little  something. I always just paid someone to do anything technical for me. With these videos just can just follow along, stop the video and go do the task. Has been a great help to me personally.

There are live Q and A calls once a month. They are recorded so you can go back and listen later if you miss the live call. You can send in your questions and Paul will answer them. Again he gives simple answers. I can’t express this enough. Some people are not able to explain in a way you can understand. No problem with that here.

There is so much in Nicheology that will you find helpful regardless of where you are at in your internet marketing career.

Oh yeah one last thing. I forgot about the Online Tutorial section. There are like 28 different sections each with their own videos on all sorts of subjects like: How To Use Clickbank, Aweber, Camtasia, Kindle. Paul has just about everything covered for you here.

You will also notice that Paul is very involved with orphans and does a lot of work in that area. He walks the walk.

Nicheology is truly one of the best deals out there for what you get. I suggest you go over and take a look now by clicking on here. Get started with your online business or take it to the next level today.

4 Easy Steps To Increase Your PLR Sales

plr salesGetting PLR sales can be a lucrative way to make money. However, one of the keys is how you will get the traffic to your site, especially in the beginning. If you can establish a stable base of PLR buyers, you can build a very nice stream of income. Getting there is the catch.

Here are a few 4 easy steps to increasing your PLR sales.

1.  Create Scarcity And You Can Dominate Your Market

Scarcity is the most important aspects of getting PLR sales – much more so than marketing many other products.

People who buy PLR packages tend to worry about how many other people are out there with the same content. The more people that buy the same content then of course the higher the risk of their content being seen as duplicate content.

Good marketers rewrite the PLR in their own voice and basically use your content as an idea platform. I try to rewrite most PLR that I buy enough the person who originally wrote the article will not even recognize it.

The best way you can create scarcity and alleviate this fear is to limit the amount of packages you sell to your customers. Generally if you limit your PLR packages to 200 you are fine, though some PLR sellers choose to sell under 50 packages.

That’s a decision you will have to make based on your experience or from talking to other experts in the field.

To get some of the best PLR on the net visit EASYPLR. Right now Nicole DEAN is offering 50% off through the 12th of March. Use the coupon code LIFEISGOOD.

I buy a lot of Nicole’s PLR for diffrent niches I am in so go check it out.

2. Forums: One Of The Fastest Way to Jump-Start Your Sales Funnel

There are many ways you can bring in new customers. Some take longer than others. But if you want to get customers right away to kick-start your business, there’s no better place to look than forums where website owners  hang out.

These forums include the Warrior Forum and DigitalPoint in the online marketing niche. Each niche has their own forums. You just have to do the research.

Website owners on these forums are always looking for new content. Though there’s a lot of competition selling PLR products, if you can differentiate yourself somehow, there’s definitely a very active market you can break into.

If you write good original content I think a lot of your problems will be solved. Word will spread among buyers in your niche about you.

3.  Create a Website That Is Search Engine Optimized

In the long run, it’s a much better idea to build a huge funnel of traffic. Though working in the forums is a valid strategy, getting your PLR packages ranked in the search engines is a much more lucrative long-term strategy.

Start by picking out very specific keywords to target for your packages. Don’t even try to target keywords like “PLR articles” or “PLR packages.” Instead, try to pick keywords in niches that have good search engine search numbers buy not to much competition to target at first.

As you get more experienced and get some customers you will find yourself going after more competitive keywords.

Getting ranked on the first page in the search engines can take a good 3 to 6 months. But you can get there in a week or two if you pick the right keywords and have the proper marketing in place. However, once you’ve got the rankings, the traffic will just flow in on its own without much further work.

4.  Use Different Sales Funnels Until You Hit On What Works For You

There are several ways to sell PLR packages. You can sell them one-off, you can sell them in packages or you can sell them as part of a  monthly membership.

The monthly membership is the most lucrative but it can also be the most difficult to sell. People that but monthly memberships are looking for content they can use on their website month after month. They usually require a great deal of PLR. So you will have to churn out a lot of great content to keep members happy.

If you’re just starting out, you will probably have an easier time getting the initial sales by just selling single packages.

If your content’s quality is high, you should then work on  converting your single package buyers into monthly clients. Having a good sales funnel will really help build your client base initially as well as giving you a blueprint to follow as you build clients.

These are 4 steps  you can do to start getting some PLR sales right away. When you’re selling PLR products, you need to decide where you want your business to go. Long term you want a mixture of monthly members and people buying individually packages PLR.

Some Quick Ways To Increase Blog Traffic

The success of your blog or website depends its blog traffic. If your blog has traffic, your chances of getting more traffic, increasing income and getting more exposure are very high. On the other hand, with low or very little traffic your blog will die.

Here are some great ways to increase your blog traffic quickly.

Use You Tube For Fast Traffic

You Tube can bring in massive amounts of blog traffic if you do it correctly.

Start by creating a YouTube channel.  Then post videos to it regularly. Create a schedule to follow. You may be able to create a video once a day, three times a week or once a week.

Whatever works best for you.

You want people to join your channel. They will expect to see new videos on your channel every now and then.

Pick the specific keywords you want your videos to rank for. You want to put the keywords in the title and in the description of your video. Another good idea is to put your blog url at the very start of the description so people will see your link to your blog immediately.

You can also use the videos on your blog. Embedding the video on your site is very easy. Just follow the instructions given on You Tube. If you have a WordPress site it’s very easy. People love to watch short videos so sprinkle them in with your blog posts.

Your blog will pick up traffic from your You Tube channel and your You Tube channel will get some traffic from your blog. Be sure to let your blog readers know you have a You Tube Channel where they can go to watch more of your videos.

Blog Comments

You should already be reading plenty of blogs in your niche. If not you should find at least ten or twenty blogs in your niche. You need to know what your competitors are doing.

The key here is to keep up with posts as they are added to the blogs. Whenever a new post is added, you want to be the first one to comment. There several tools out there that will let you know as soon as a blog has a new post.

Post intelligent comments that add value. Some blogs  will let you link back to your site by putting in your website address. You can also link back to your site using the “name” field. I try not to do that. I look for blogs that will let me link back. This will help you increase your blog traffic.

Guest Posts On Other Blogs

Another method of using your content to generate blog traffic is through guest posts.

Create a list of twenty  blogs or so in your niche you respect and can relate to. You will be surprised how many blog owners are looking for fresh, new content for their blogs. Email them and ask if they’d be interested in having some free content, in exchange for a link back to your website.

Here’s the most important part. You need to have good relevant content for their blog. Let the owner of the site know what topic you are going to write a post about. If the blog or site owner does not get excellent content from you they’re automatically going to assume that anything you write for them isn’t going to be good enough for their readers.

On the other hand, if they’re impressed by what they see, they’ll want you to write more articles for them. You also need excellent content to get the blog readers to visit your site.

Article Marketing Distribution

The key to article marketing is to make a schedule and stick to it. Article marketing is very much numbers game. Don’t ever think you can publish one article and you are done.

It’s a never ending process.

The best article marketers probably publish dozens of  articles a month. Many aim to publish at least one or two per day.

Connie Ragen Green from NAMS has like 1500 articles published on article directories. That will get you big traffic for your blog.

The goal of article marketing is to target a mixture of low-competition low-traffic keywords and high competition high traffic keywords. You want to get your articles ranked for as many of those keywords as you can.

Some people say to only go after the low competition keywords and that’s what you should do at the start but as time goes on you want to after some of the high competition keywords that can bring in massive blog traffic.

It can be lot of work, but you can automate some things to make it easier on yourself.

These are some quick ways you can get immediate blog traffic. Each one requires action and persistence on your part. When you pick a method, formulate a plan and execute it. If you use all  of these methods the blog traffic will come and before you know it you will have hundreds of visitors a day.

Of these 4 methods to get traffic which one is working best for you. Please leave a comment below.

6 Tips For Creating Powerful Headlines That Sell

Most marketers will tell you that creating powerful headlines is the most important part of getting people to read your articles and blog posts.

You have only a few seconds to capture a potential prospect’s attention.  The single most powerful tool you have to accomplish this task is your powerful  headline with your primary keywords in it.  There are several keys to writing a compelling, and selling headline and a few tips to help you get the job done.

Tip #1  Tap into Your Target Customer’s Emotions

According to psychologists our buying decisions are based first and foremost on our emotions.  Use headlines which give your readers a strong emotional benefit or reaction.  There are some psychological triggers that we know spur prospects to action. A few of these are:

1. Honesty
2. Hope
3. Curiosity
4. Integrity
5. Credibility
6. Greed
7. A sense of belonging
8. Ownership
9. Value
10. Urgency
11. Justify the Purchase
12. Security

Tip #2  Use Active Commands

To get action it’s important to use active language in the headline – in other words use language that shows movement and commands attention.

For example, “Stop Your Bad Eating Habits Today With This Simple Step,” is a fine headline however it doesn’t command action nor does it really tap into any emotions.  However, “Conquer Your Bad Eating Habits With This Simple Step.”  Conquer is an active and emotionally powerful word.  Readers receive the benefit of feeling powerful and in control and it commands action.

Tip #3  Let Your Reader Know They’re Important

The word YOU is one of the most powerful words you can use.  It let’s your reader’s feel as if you’re talking to them individually and let’ them know you are interested in solving their problems and helping them achieve their goals.  Do not use I, Me or We in your headlines. Use You or Your.

Using the headline example above compare the two options
“Conquer Your Bad Eating Habits With This Simple Step.
“Conquer Bad Eating Habits with Our System”

People want to know what’s in it for them in the article and your headline must convey this to get them to continue reading your article and make a purchase or read your other articles.

Check out these three ideas for creating powerful headlines that sell:

* Make a promise – Earn $1000 a day
* Make it newsworthy – New program guarantees you’ll earn $1000 a day.
* Ask a question – Do you want to ensure your financial future?

Tip#4  Know Your Audience Intimately

Your prospects have hopes, dreams, desires, and problems that you must tap into?  If you can get inside your audience’s head it will help you create an emotional and powerful headline directed specifically at your audience.

When an individual reads your headline they must feel as if you are speaking to them personally

Tip#5  Make Your Prospects Lives Better

You must determine how your products and services will make your prospects lives better and solve their problems.  For example if you sell fitness equipment and you know your prospect struggles with feeling attractive because of their physical size then you should write a headline that highlights a specific benefit your fitness equipment offers to solve their specific problem of being overweight.

Tip#6   Write Twenty Headlines For The Best Results

Not only will this give you practice creating powerful headlines, it’ll help you drill down to find that  perfect headline.  If you think you have a few winners you should test them for conversion rates to find out which headline is more effective.

I am always amazed at what works and what does not. But you can come a lot closer to the perfect headline that sells if you follow the tips in this article.

As I stated earlier the experts consider your headline to be the most import element of your marketing piece.  The problem is we usually rush writing the headline. Kind of stupid when the experts tell us it’s the most important part.

I suggest you spend the time and work on creating powerful headlines so you can reap the benefits for years to come.

6 Signs You Have An Effective Blog

effective blogEffective blogs are just as popular if not more popular than websites. If you want to create an effective blog with a message people want to hear, then here are 6 signs that let you know you are on the right track.

Blogs are not only for people who want to keep in touch with their loved ones and friends around the world. They are also for people that want to put out their opinions while getting others to listen. There are people that blog for a living now and have a huge presence in the online community.

But, blogging is not as easy as simple typing and posting a few random thoughts. You can make it work for you and your business in  many different ways. A blog can provide a place to talk with customers and hear their opinions. It can help you fill a needed niche.

Do you want to know if your blog is effective for your business  in the online world? The answers may lie in the 6 signs below. Keep reading to find out.

1. You Have a Big Group Of Loyal Followers

You need to keep an eye on your unique followers. If you set up an RSS feed, you can use FeedBurner or something similar. This lets you see who is subscribing and following your posts. It takes time to build a rapport with your fans and get them coming back to hear what you have to say. Be patient, but if you can see a steady upward trend in your stats, you are on the right track.

2.  You Are Getting Meaningful Comments

Anyone can comment on posts with one or two word answers. What I mean by meaningful comments is they write in-depth thoughtful answers that have substance. Also, readers respond more to you when you have lots of followers making comments. This also helps you in the social rankings which are becoming more and more important every day.

3.  You Put Up Post On A Regular Basis

If you post new content each week then you are ahead of quite a few people. But that’s not enough when you start off. Don’t short-change your readers. Ideally you should post everyday the first month or at least every other day.

After you build up a following you can post 2 or 3 times a week. Create your posts in advance a week at a time if you can and schedule them for automatic publication. That way you don’t have to come back to your blog each day to do it.

4.  You Optimize Your Pages For SEO Now

On effective blogs, bloggers post content and pages that are SEO optimized. You want people other than your regular readers to find you. A properly optimized post will help your Google rankings. This is one way to increase your readership.

5.  People Are Linking Back To Your Blog

A blogger needs to follow leaders in his niche as well as other effective bloggers. Following a network of bloggers and leaving thoughtful comments can lead to guest blogging spots for you and interviews on other bloggers sites. Each is an opportunity to get a new backlink to your blog. That will bring you more visitors over time and move your blog up in the Google rankings.

6.  Blogging Is Helping You Meet Your Business Goals

When you can mark off achievements on your business goal list, you are on the right track and moving forward. This is important for any blogger who wants to be known in his niche.

So, how do you know if you have an effective blog? Start by working on the 6 signs   mentioned in this article.
